So, you’ve decided to run coding in your school. You love the idea of vocational coding that teaches real, usable skills to your learners. Here are simple easy steps to get it fitted into your schedule.

How to Schedule It:

  1. First, it’s easier than you think. (You don’t need to know anything about coding).
  2. Secondly, the CodeJIKA team is here to support you.
  3. Select one or two high schools with functional PC labs (no internet necessary) and start with three “Intro” lessons.
  4. If it’s working well, you expand to the 16-lesson course and more classes and then more schools.
  5. Teachers may choose to teach it as a non-core subject for a term.

A. Choose your structure:

  1. How many classes/groups of learners will take part? __________________________(Recommended 2-4 groups).
  2. From what classes/age? __________________________ (What is most convenient for you?).
  3. How many sessions would you like to schedule per group?  __________________________

STARTER: 3 Sessions – 2 visits by Subject Matter Expert.

LITE: 8 Sessions – 3 visits by Subject Matter Expert.

FULL: 16 Sessions – 5 visits by Subject Matter Expert.

You can also mix: For example, 2 groups on STARTER & 2 groups on LITE.

B. Plan your Dates and Learners:

The CodeJIKA Coordinator can help you with this and answer any questions you may have.
