How to get involved
If you are an educator or school representative,we can, at no cost, help you to organise a free online coding event for your learners or teaching staff using the CodeJIKA.comcurriculum.
If you are a high school learner,you can win a Dell laptop or 2-in-1 tablet by completing one of our CodeJIKA.com projects and sharing your design on social media using the hashtag #CodeJIKA.
If you are a parent,you can lobby your child’s school to hold a coding event for the learners using the CodeJIKA.comcurriculum or give one of our projects a try yourself.
Why is coding important?
As workplace and job requirements evolve, candidates highly skilled in computer science, programming and coding are increasingly in demand.
Young people are then also exposed to a possible career path they would not have previously considered – or even known about. Computer science skills also prepare the youth for the technological demands of the jobs of the future, regardless of field or occupation.
